AGENDA
Access and Identity Management (AIM) is an important component of IT security technologies for managing the lifecycle of users in organizations. AIM technologies impact multiple stakeholders in an organization; and as a result, there are organizational and social factors that impact their adoption and use.

2:05pm - 3:15pm: Overview of current state of the AIM market and a summary of a case study of AIM adoption in an insurance organization and the social and organizational challenges in that process. Quick demo of an AIM system (CA Identity Manager).

3:15pm - 3:20pm:
Bio-Break

3:20pm - 4:00pm: A discussion about the social and organizational challenges of AIM adoption and use in organizations. Feedback in this discussion will be valuable for the presenters future research.

Bio: Pooya Jaferian is a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the Laboratory for Education and Research in Secure Systems Engineering working under the supervision of Dr. Konstantin Beznosov. He is researching social and organizational issues of Access control and Identity Management (AIM) in organizations in order to improve usability of AIM technologies.
