How to Embed Security into Agile

Momchil Karov (Best Buy Canada)

Enforcing security policies and requirements, as well as managing the security risk in organizations that have adopted the Agile methodology, focused on the rapid delivery of results to customers, represent a number of tough challenges that the information security leaders of these organizations are facing today. How do we address security and compliance when dealing with the speed and agility of delivering results on a rapid Agile sprints schedule and what are the differences in approach to the classic Waterfall methodology?

This presentation tries to shed light on some practical guidelines and methods that help deliver secure code development and manage information security risk, the Agile way and for Agile.

Momchil is an Information Security Professional with over 24 years of combined IT and information security experience on two continents. He holds a MSc degree in physics, a number of industry-leading certifications, such as (ISC)² CISSP, as well as leadership training ones from Dale Carnegie.
